About the DS2020DACAG2
The DS2020DACAG2 is an AC to DC Power Conversion assembly used in GE Energy Mark VIe and EX2100 Control Systems. This assembly serves as a drop-in replacement for the earlier model DS2020DACAG1. For systems that used the DACAG1 the DS2020DACAG2 is fully backwards compatible. The DS2020DACAG2 is used in systems for which the primary power source is 125VDC or for systems operating without a battery. Other features of the DS2020DACAG2 include local energy output that extends ride-through time when the system completely loses control power. Other features of the DACAG2A include:
- A single 12 position connector (JZ) used for AC Input and DC Output Power
- Electrolytic Capacitors that can be replaced over time due to capacitor wear out
- The ability to parallel multiple DS2020DACAG2 for greater output that increase maximum output current to 16.5A dc
Hardware Tips and Specifications
The function of the DS2020DACAG2 module is to convert a VAC power supply to a VDC power supply. After the power supply has been converted to 125 VDC a diode will be coupled to the other DC sources within the controller to create a DC bus that will then feed any of the controller modules as well as the gate pulse amplifier boards connected to the module. The outputs, such as the EPDM, EGPA, EXTV, and EPBP that are connected to the DACA module all have LED indicators which will indicate the proper power being supplied to the DS2020DACAG2. It is important to note that when the diodes have been coupled together and the ground of the model centered the grounded voltages of your device should nominally read +62.5 and -62.5 volts. With the fact that this DS2020DACAG2 product is attributed to a now-obsolete legacy product series, it is true that the DS2020DACAG2 functional product number can exist as a primary source of DS2020DACAG2 Board hardware information, as it codes for various DS2020DACAG2 Module details in a series of consecutive functional naming tags. Some of these relevant details include this DS2020DACAG2 DACA Module's special modular EX2100 Series assembly, its domestic original manufacture location, its DACA functional product acronym, its group 2 product series grouping and finally its normal style of PCB surface coating.
The manuals that are best used when operating the DACA device are the GEH-6632 EX2100 User’s Guide and the GEH-6721L PDM Power Distribution Modules System Guide, which hopefully remain uploaded in our handy manuals tab above for your convenience. The DS2020DACAG2 module is a backward compatible system and should be used as a replacement part for the DS2020DACAG1 module. When one or potentially two DACA modules have been connected to the IS2020JPDF the AC current will be provided through a wire harness that is located between JPDF and JPDB. Please advise that when using two parallel DACA modules they are connected to the same AC supply to ensure that the DACAs are receiving equal input voltages. As this DS2020DACAG2 device is the original product of its specific EX2100 series functionality; its original manual-introduced base performance specifications and dimensions should remain true.
