About the IS200ERSCG1A
The IS200ERSCG1A model is an Exciter Regulator Static Converter. The primary function of this board is to provide pulse width modulation (PWM) direct current outputs for the regulator control. Another feature of this regulator is to provide a field discharge, this is done through one of the six IGBT inverter modules. The IGBTs on the module are used for various other functions one of which is to discharge DC-linked capacitors to an external resistor.
When this board is being powered it typically uses rectified direct current or alternating current power, or it has the potential to be used when both power currents are supplied. This board can be used with either redundant or simplex applications when the two different applications are being used the IS200ERSCG1A will be used with different board interfaces.
The manual best used with the IS200ERSCG1A model is manual GEI-100488, this manual is no longer widely available but information regarding the overall EX2100 series can be found in the GEH-6632 EX2100 Excitation Control User’s Guide. While this model is no longer widely available due to it no longer being produced by General Electric.
