About the IC3600ADAD1
The IC3600ADAD1 is a FANUC Diode Converter Card D/A manufactured by GE for the Mark I/Mark II series. These series were the first of GE’s Speedtronic gas and steam turbine management systems, rated for use on units and systems from 4000 hp (a single unit) to 400 Mw (combined cycles.) The MKI/MKII used integrated circuits and microprocessors to carry out control, sequencing and protective functions, with some processes having single or double redundancies built in to assure reliability and safe machine operation.
The IC3600ADAD1 is drilled in two corners. The board has many bits of information printed on it. This includes the unique board identification number, the board’s revision code, and markings identifying all components. One edge is numbered one to fifty by fives. These numbers are printed under twenty-five right-angled metal pins.
The IC3600ADAD1 is built with through-hole fixed components. Components may be mounted horizontally or vertically. This includes diodes, resistors, and capacitors. Capacitors on the board include polyester vinyl capacitors rated at 200 VDC +/- 10% and two aluminum electrolytic capacitors rated at 50V. The board is also built with three trim potentiometers, which are located parallel to each other in one corner. Since these components are variable resistors, they can be used for voltage division.
Before it is sent off to your facility, our team at AX Control will protect the IC3600ADAD1 with a static-reducing sleeve or covering. We recommend technicians review safety data from OEM paperwork if it is still available before installation begins. All technical support for the IC3600ADAD1 was provided by GE.
