About the IC3600AFGA1
The IC3600AFGA1 is a FANUC GE PCB manufactured for the Mark I or Mark II systems. The MKI/MKII were the first GE gas/steam turbine Speedtronic management systems. They can manage heavy-duty turbines from 4000 Hp to 400 Mw (combined cycles.) Reliability in these systems is achieved through redundancy for key control functions, such as temperature control and speed. High-resolution servos and electronic computation achieve high performance, accuracy and a fast response time.
The IC3600AFGA1 has drill marks in two corners. It is numbered by tens (ten to fifty) on one edge. These numbers are located under twenty-five right-angled metal pins connected to the board’s surface. These pins face outward toward the board’s edge. The board is marked with its unique board number, with the GE “USA” mark, and with the code 006/04. One corner is marked “AB.” Most but not all components are marked.
The IC3600AFGA1 has twelve transistors located on its surface, including several doubled-diffused epitaxial-planar silicon power transistors that are designed for small-signal-medium-power applications. The IC3600AFGA1 has two circuits. Both circuits are operational amplifiers with a maximum input bias current of 3.0 nA over temperature, and an offset current less than 400 pA over temperature.
Two trim potentiometers are located on the surface of the IC3600AFGA1. It has a variety of capacitors, diodes, and resistors, including a polyester vinyl .47μF +/-10% 200VDC M/e 61F 2Q78 and several smaller ceramic capacitors. Resistors are primarily fixed carbon film and metal film resistors.
Technical support for the IC3600AFGA1 was provided by GE. This includes datasheets and manuals.
