About the IC3600AFGB1C1B
The IC3600AFGB1C1B is a GE FANUC Function Generator Card for the Mark I or Mark II series. These series, which were the first two commercially available Speedtronic series released by General Electric, can manage gas or steam turbines from individual systems rated at 4000 hp to larger systems with combined cycles of 400 Mw. The MKI and MKII control start-up, acceleration, load, and the fuel system, protect and monitor such things as over-speed, vibration, flame, and over-temperature, and sequence the turbine for ignition, normal starts and normal stops, as well as emergency stops.
The IC3600AFGB1C1B is marked on one edge with the numbers ten, twenty, thirty, forty, and fifty. Placed above these numbers is a line of twenty-five individual right-angled pins. These pins attach the board to wiring within the larger MKI or MKII system.
There are four trim potentiometers on the surface of the IC3600AFGB1C1B. Trimmer resistors can be used for variable resistance or can be used for the tuning, calibration, and adjustment of circuits. The board has eleven transistors of several different designs. A heatsink is fitted around one transistor. The board is built out with several types of resistors, including carbon composite, wire wound, and metal film. Two large wire wound resistors (R38 and R39) are marked 2147845 500Ω 5% 10W and 2147442 750Ω 5% 10W. Capacitors on the board are primarily polyester vinyl. It is worth noting many components have been mounted vertically.
A static-reducing sleeve will be used when the IC3600AFGB1C1B is shipped to you. When you receive your part we recommend reviewing any OEM paperwork still in your possession, like manuals and data sheets, to properly prepare for installation. All technical support for the IC3600AFGB1C1B was provided by GE.
