About the IC3600AOAB1
The IC3600AOAB1 is a GE FANUC Amplifier Card designed as a component for the Speedtronic Mark I and Mark II series. These two series were created to manage heavy-duty gas and steam turbine systems. These early Speedtronic series were developed to improve the performance of the turbines they managed. The original goals were to create a management system that would provide maximum starting and running reliability with fast response and accurate performance over a long lifespan. This system would need to be adaptable to the diversified gas turbine cycles and applications. The MKI and MKII systems met those goals.
The IC3600AOAB1 is drilled in two corners. It is built with twenty-five pins attached to one edge. When the IC3600AOAB1 is inserted into a Speedtronic frame, these pins are wired together and used to connect the board for communication purposes to the larger system.
The IC3600AOAB1 is built with carbon composite resistors. Capacitors on the board may be made of several materials, including ceramic and polyester vinyl.
The IC3600AOAB1 has several integrated circuits. It is built with several transistors of varying design. Two of the largest transistors have been fitted with heat sinks. These heat sinks are designed to transfer heat generated by the transistor to the air, in order to dissipate it more quickly to regulate the transistor’s temperature and to keep the temperature at an optimal level.
The IC3600AOAB1 will ship from our warehouse protected in a plastic static-reducing sleeve. If the OEM manual or datasheet for this part has been retained, we suggest reviewing installation parameters before beginning card installation. MKI and MKII components had technical support provided by GE.
