About the IC3600AOAF1C
The IC3600AOAF1C is a GE FANUC component for the Mark I/Mark II series. The first of the Speedtronic series for gas and steam turbine management released by GE, the MKI and MKII are designed for all GE heavy-duty gas turbines and can handle the management of anything from a single 4000 hp unit up to 400 Mw combined cycle systems. These two series have a long history of use on nearly every continent in ambient temperature ranges from -50C to +50C.
The IC3600AOAF1C functions as an Amplifier Card. Two corners have been drilled at the factory. The opposite edge of the board has been fitted with twenty-five metal pins which, together, function as a backplane. When these pins are attached to wiring they connect the IC3600AOAF1C to the rest of the Speedtronic system. The board has been marked with the GE logo, with its identification number, and it has been numbered on one edge. The back of the board carries the code 68A999176G.
It is worth noting that half of the IC3600AOAF1C is empty, save the pins mentioned above. All the components mentioned below are clustered on one side of the board. Components include one trim potentiometer, two transistors (each of a different design,) integrated circuits, and many resistors, diodes, and capacitors. Capacitors on this board tend to be made of either aluminum electrolytic material or polyester vinyl. The majority of resistors are CCRs or carbon composite, but some resistors are made of metal film. Vertical mounting has been chosen for many components.
