About the IC3600EPZU1
The IC3600EPZU1 is a GE FANUC Power Supply Board for the Mark I and Mark II series. These were the first two in the Speedtronic series for gas/steam turbine management. They are both designed to control the turbine output and limit it to within the unit’s capabilities, sequence parameters during startup, provide a protective shutdown in the case of a non-recoverable system failure, and to monitor and annunciate malfunctions.
The IC3600EPZU1 is marked with the GE trademark. It carries the codes 006/01 and 002/01 and is marked EPZU separately from its board identification number. One edge is numbered.
The IC3600EPZU1 has one fuse, four diodes, and two wire wound resistors. These are marked 2147902 10K 5% 10W and 2147901 1K 5% 10W. It has one polyester vinyl capacitor marked 2Q78 10μF +/- 10%. It has nine aluminum electrolytic capacitors in three lines of three. These are marked 30D + TE 1307 50μF 50 VDC 105C + 9807H.
The board also has one metal oxide varistor, which is placed near the center of the board and marked MOV1. Varistors are voltage dependent resistors that have voltage-current characteristics similar to diodes. They are used to protect electrical devices from high transient voltages and will short themselves out when a high current is produced due to high voltage.
The IC3600EPZU1has twenty-five pins attached to one edge. When the IC3600EPZU1 is inserted into a Speedtronic frame these pins are wired together and allow the board to communicate with the rest of the system.
The IC3600EPZU1 will ship to you in a protective, static reducing sleeve. All technical support for this part was provided by GE.
