About the IC3600KHDA2
The IC3600KHDA2 is a GE FANUC component for the Mark I and Mark series. The first of the Speedtronic gas/steam turbine management systems, the MKI and MKII were developed by GE with a focus on creating reliable, accurate management systems with quick response times and virtually no dead band. The MKI and MKII have been used for decades in every sort of environment to run heavy-duty turbine systems as small as unattended single unit 4000 hp systems to full power stations up to 400 Mw combined cycles.
The IC3600KHDA2 is a heavy-duty relay that has been attached to a circuit board. The circuit board is drilled in two corners and has a line of right-angled metal pins located along the opposite edge. These pins are used for communication purposes, and allow the IC3600KHDA2 to communicate with the entire system by way of wires that attach to the pins. The board is numbered on this edge.
The IC3600KHDA2 consists of the board, a plexiglass shield, several wires, and the heavy duty relay. Relays are designed to open and close circuits either electromechanically or electronically. Protective relays can detect electrical abnormalities including undercurrent, overcurrent, reverse current and overloads, and prevent equipment damage. Relays are often used to switch starting coils, pilot lights, heating elements, and audible alarms.
The edge of the IC3600KHDA2 has a white label that includes the GE logo, the code 68A997246P1, the board ID number, “Coil 28 VDC” and a relay diagram.
The IC3600KHDA2 will be shipped in a protective covering that will reduce static. All tech support for this part was provided by GE.
