About the IC3600KMRA5
The IC3600KMRA5 is a FANUC component and a medium duty relay that fits both the Mark I and the Mark II series from GE. The MKI and MKII were the first steam/gas turbine management systems that were commercially released in the Speedtronic line by GE Both systems were created to be adaptable and scalable, and are as useful in the management and running of an unattended single unit pumping station as they are in the running of a 400 Mw power plant with many turbines. The MKI and MKII have a history of use that now runs across several decades and goes around the globe.
The IC3600KMRA5 is a plug-in relay. Earlier Speedtronic systems like the MKI and MKII were designed with dozens of plug-in relays that attached to the system in a gridwork of columns and rows. These relays are designed to be easily replaceable if they have a failure. The IC3600KMRA5 is configured with a large center plug that is surrounded by fourteen smaller pins placed in a concentric circle. The working parts of the relay are placed within a grey housing above the plug. A relay diagram is located on the side of this housing. This side also carries the part number and the code D8934.
Most relays are designed upon relay ladder logic or RLL. Originally, RLL allowed the controller to use discrete signals to solve logic sequences. RLL is now represented in the relay diagrams located on the side of most relay components.
Our warehouse team uses a protective, static-reducing sleeve when shipping this part. We recommend a review of safety data from manuals or data sheets before installation.
