About the IC3600KMRC2
The IC3600KMRC2 is a GE FANUC component/medium duty 425-ohm relay for the Mark I and/or Mark II series from GE. The MKI/MKII Speedtronic series for gas/steam turbine control management is designed with a control system designed to minimize shutdowns resulting from control system failures, a self-checking protection system designed with a high degree of redundancy that will annunciate alarms if one of these redundant protective systems fails during startup or during operation, and a sequential system that provides the logic for automatic startup, loading, and shutdown of the turbine. While these two Speedtronic systems have become obsolete over time due to the release of more technologically advanced, newer Speedtronic systems, they remain in active use by many due to their simplicity of use and basic adaptability.
The IC3600KMRC2 is a plug-in type relay. Early Speedtronic systems like the MKI and MKII were designed with up to seventy of these plug-in relays placed in a single frame. They are easy to replace if a failure occurs, and take up very little space, as they fit easily into rows and columns. The IC3600KMRC2 is designed with a wide center plug. Fourteen pins are placed in a concentric circle around this plug. The gray housing of the relay holds a relay diagram, the part id number, its resistance rating (425 ohms) and the codes 3SAA1205A2 and MFR01526.
Relays function upon Relay Ladder Logic or RLL. RLL is represented in relay diagrams.
Shipment of the IC3600KMRC2 from our warehouse will include the use of a protective, static-reducing sleeve. A review of manuals or datasheets is recommended before installation.
