About the IC3600KMRD2
The IC3600KMRD2 is a GE FANUC component/medium duty relay for the Mark I or Mark II series from GE. The Mark I/Mark II were the first two of the Speedtronic series to be commercially released by General Electric. Both series have now been in use for over forty years, and while the MKI and MKII are now obsolete due to the release of more technologically developed systems like the MKV and MKVI, many are still being used around the world due to their inherent reliability and adaptability.
The IC3600KMRD2 is a plug-in style relay. It is marked on its gray housing with the part number and the code AJ8934. Relays are built with an electromagnetic coil, contacts and a spring. The spring holds the contact in position until a current gets passed through the coil, at which time the coil generates the magnetic field that moves the contact on or off. The housing is also printed with a relay diagram. This diagram is a graphical representation of the relay ladder logic that allows the relay to function.
The IC3600KMRD2 has one central large plug. This plug does not have a designator on the relay diagram. It is surrounded by fourteen smaller pins attached to the front of the relay in a concentric circle. These pins are represented on the relay diagram and are numbered from one to fourteen. Some have other symbols printed next to them.
The IC3600KMRD2 will ship from our warehouse in a static-reducing covering. Tech support for all MKI/MKII components including manuals/datasheets was provided by GE.
