About the IC3600KRSD2
The IC3600KRSD2 is a Relay Card for the Mark I or Mark II series from GE. While both systems have been in use for over forty years and have since become obsolete by the release of newer, more technologically advanced steam or gas turbine management systems within the Speedtronic line like the Mark V and Mark VIe, many of the MKI/MKII systems remain in use around the world. These systems were designed to manage heavy-duty turbines ranging from entire power stations with multiple turbines (combined cycles up to 400 Mw,) down to a single unit with a 4000 hp rating. MKI and MKII Speedtronic systems have been used for remote pumping stations, marine drives, and compressor drives in industrial and chemical processes.
The IC3600KRSD2 has only a few components. The components on this card include six diodes, all mounted vertically, and six relays. The relays are marked on their top surface with a relay diagram, with the codes CR120G40106FA and 68A997169A02, and the information of 28 VDC and 10 VA. Each relay has several colored wires attached to one end. These wires connect to the line of metal pins located along one edge of the board.
The IC3600KRSD2 is marked with the code 006/01 and with the board number. It is also numbered and lettered on one edge. The lettering correlates to the colors of the wires attached to the relays mentioned above, and guide the user on which pins can accept which wires. For example, the pins above “45” can accept red, violet and green wires.
