About the IC3600KVSA1
The IC3600KVSA1 is a Zero Speed Relay card for the Mark I or the Mark II series. Both the MKI and the MKII are Speedtronic steam/gas turbine management systems from General Electric. They were created to perform five primary functions. These functions include
-
Controlling the turbine output power over its load range
-
Limiting the turbine maximum output to within the unit’s capability
-
Sequencing the turbine control parameters and its auxiliaries for startup
-
Protecting the turbine in the event of a non-recoverable system failure within the system
-
Monitoring and annunciating malfunctions within the gas turbine, its auxiliaries and the control system.
The IC3600KVSA1 is built with a single reed relay at the center of the card. Reed relays use an electromagnet to control a reed switch, and tend to be fast, small and lightweight. This is a GE reed relay marked 68A997168A02, Coil 28 VDC, Cont. 50 VA, NP 68A99729P2. A relay diagram appears on the upper surface of the relay. The relay wires into the line of pins located on one edge of the board, via multiple wires.
The IC3600KVSA1 has one trim potentiometer. It has five transistors of two types on its surface. Each transistor is marked. The board uses carbon composite resistors and both ceramic and aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Diodes are marked. There is one integrated circuit on the board.
The IC3600KVSA1 has a single line of metal pins attached to one side of the board. These pins function as a communication device and will be wired into the Speedtronic system.
The IC3600KVSA1 will ship to you in a protective, static-reducing covering. Before installation of your new part, we suggest technicians review safety data and other pertinent information in any OEM publications like manuals and datasheets available at your facility.
