About the IC3600LFFA1
The IC3600LFFA1 is a Timer board component for the Mark I or the Mark II series. The MKI was released by GE in 1969 to manage heavy-duty steam or gas turbines. The MKII followed in 1973. Both series are now made obsolete by the release of more technologically advanced systems. The MKI/MKII are no longer supported by the OEM (original equipment manufacturer.) Yet both systems remain in use by many facilities around the globe as management systems for large turbine systems like power stations with multiple turbines with combined cycles up to 400 Mw down to single turbine units rated to 4000 hp.
The IC3600LFFA1 has eight polyester vinyl capacitors that have been mounted vertically and a single horizontal polyester vinyl capacitor. It also has eight ceramic capacitors. The board has sixteen transistors that are placed in a single line. All of these transistors are marked as Q1. The board has several lines of carbon composite resistors that are all mounted vertically. Many of these resistors carry the same designator (R11/R12, etc.) In several places, the board uses surface wiring.
The IC3600LFFA1 is a GE FANUC component. It carries the logo from GE and the board ID number. If your facility has retained manuals or data sheets or any other OEM publications, we suggest reviewing these before your new part is installed. Please follow all safety procedures recommended by the manufacturer.
