About the IC3600LGXA1
The IC3600LGXA1 is a Gate Expander Card for the Mark I and Mark II series from GE. These Speedtronic series for gas and steam turbine management were the first developed and released by General Electric, and have been available for decades. They have since been replaced by the Mark IV through the Mark VIe, which have improved and expanded upon the capabilities of these original systems. Yet due to the basic reliability and functionality built into the MKI and MKII, which can adapt and scale to the needs of both large and small turbine systems used in a variety of industries and locations, there are still hundreds of these early systems in use around the world today.
The IC3600LGXA1 is built with very few components. The board is marked in several locations. Markings include the codes 006/01, 003/01, 03E4, and 68A989018, as well as the GE logo, the marking “ADS,” and the board number. It is also numbered on one edge.
The IC3600LGXA1 has two lines of diodes fitted to its surface. In total, there are 36 diodes on the surface of the board. All diodes carry the designator CR1, CR2, CR3 or CR4. The board also includes nine through-hole wires marked “6” that do not carry any component.
The IC3600LGXA1 is built with a line of fifty-one metal pins that facilitate communication between the board and the control panel. This occurs via wires attached to the pins.
