About the IC3600LGXA1A
The IC3600LGXA1A is a component that functions as a Gate Expander Card within the Mark I or the Mark II series. The first two Speedtronic series released by GE for the management of heavy-duty gas or steam turbine systems, the MKI and MKII have been replaced by later Speedtronic systems like the Mark IV, Mark V, Mark VI, and the Mark VIe, which increased and improved on the capabilities of these original systems as newer technology became available. But the basic functionality and reliability of the Mark I and Mark II--which are capable of adapting and scaling to the needs of heavy-duty turbines used in all sorts of locations and industries whether the system is one turbine or a whole power plant--has kept hundreds of these systems viable and working around the globe through present day.
The surface of the IC3600LGXA1A is printed with several pieces of information. This includes the codes 68A989018, 03E4, 003/01, and 006/01, the GE logo, the board number, and the marking ‘ADS.’
The IC3600LGXA1A has thirty-six diodes placed in two lines. There are no other through-hole components located in the center of the board, although interspersed through the lines of diodes the board includes nine empty through-hole wires. The board is marked “6” under each of these wires. All diodes on the board are marked CR1 through CR4, with nine diodes carrying each designator.
Fifty-one metal pins on the surface of the IC3600LGXA1A facilitate communication with the control panel. Once the card is installed, wires are attached to these pins. Data is transferred through these connections.
