About the IC3600LINA1
The Light Indicator Card marked IC3600LINA1 is a GE FANUC component for the Mark I/Mark II series. These two series were built with four basic parts, including a control system featuring a redundant fail-safe which allowed different types of control to back up each other (temperature control backs up speed control and vice versa,) a protection system built with dual and triple fail-safes to allow the system to continue running as alarms annunciate issues, a sequential system with logic for automating basic procedures like startup and shutdown, and a power supply that is independent of the rest of the system.
The IC3600LINA1 is marked with several codes, including 006/06, 002/05, 68A989076, and “REH.” It also carries the GE U.S.A logo and its board identification number. The board is numbered on either side of twenty-six metal pins; on the edge side of the pins, it is numbered 1/5/15/25/35/45/51. On the board side, it is numbered 1 through 16. These numbers seem to correspond to the interior board components, which are otherwise only designated by a label at the top of each line.
The IC3600LINA1 has sixteen light emitting diodes placed along one edge. These are protected by a gray housing. Each diode is marked with a + and a - on its through-hole wires. The board has one diode and one aluminum electrolytic capacitor marked C4. There is also one metal film capacitor marked R4. The remaining components on the board are marked by the line. R1 and R2 consist of sixteen metal film resistors. R5 includes sixteen more resistors of a different material. Q1 includes sixteen transistors.
