About the IC3600LINA1D1B
The IC3600LINA1D1B is a component for the Mark I/Mark II series from GE. The Speedtronic series for gas/steam turbine management began with these two series, and while General Electric has continued to develop and release more technologically advanced systems like its most recent Speedtronic Mark VIe, many of these earliest systems continue to be viable, despite now being decades old. Simple redundant systems are built into these two systems to increase reliability without creating too much complexity, allowing for a safer running machine that will annunciate problems without shutting down. The MKI/MKII often used existing systems as backups, such as using the temperature control system as a backup for speed control, and vice versa.
The IC3600LINA1D1B is marked with several pieces of information, including the board id number, the logo from GE USA, and the codes 68A989076, 002/05, 006/06, and “REH.” The board is numbered one through sixteen, and one through fifty-one (in jumps of five and ten.) Twenty-six right-angled pins are affixed to the board over these numbers. The pins function as a communication device when the board is inserted into a Speedtronic frame.
The IC3600LINA1D1B is built with forty-nine resistors, sixteen transistors, one diode, one capacitor, and sixteen LEDs, or light-emitting diodes. Each LED is marked with - and + on its through-hole wires. R4 is marked as a single component, but the remaining resistors are marked by the line, with sixteen resistors making up a single component. All transistors on the board are marked as Q1. It is worth noting the single capacitor on the board is marked as “C4.”
