About the IC3600LIVF1
The IC3600LIVF1 is a component for the Mark I or the Mark II series. Both of these series were designed and released by GE for the management of steam/gas turbines. They have both been in continuous use for several decades (the Mark I since the ‘60s and the Mark II since the ‘70s,) and while they are no longer supported by the original manufacturer due to GE’s continued development of other turbine management systems, the MKI/MKII continue to be used for turbine systems around the world of various sizes, including single unit turbines like remote pumping stations up to full power stations with many turbines (up to 400 Mw.)
The IC3600LIVF1 is built with sixteen polyester vinyl capacitors (200V .001 708D1) that are all marked as C1. The line of C1 capacitors is bisected by a single polyester vinyl capacitor of a different size that is marked as C2. Sixteen transistors are all designated as Q1. Several lines of carbon composite resistors have the same designator (for example, more than one resistor will be marked R1.) Lines tend to alternate between two designators.
Numbering on one edge of the IC3600LIVF1 corresponds to fifty-one metal pins. These pins allow the board to communicate with the Speedtronic system through connections made to the pins by wires.
If you have retained manuals, data sheets or other publications from the manufacturer, we suggest a review of these before beginning installation of your new part. Please follow all recommended safety procedures.
