About the IC3600LLXA1A
The IC3600LLXA1A is a PCB component for the Mark I and/or Mark II series for steam or gas turbine management. While the MKI/MKII have since been made obsolete by the release of newer Speedtronic systems like the Mark V and Mark VI, they are still in use in many locations. Both systems focused on controlling the turbine output power over the load range, limiting the maximum output to remain consistent to the unit’s capabilities, sequencing the turbines and its auxiliaries for startup, providing a protective shutdown in the case of a system failure, and annunciating and monitoring malfunctions.
The IC3600LLXA1A has relatively few components. It functions as a logic expander. Primarily it has a single line of nine resistors of a carbon composite material. All resistors are marked as “R1.” Besides this line, the board has two lines of diodes, which are placed on the board in groups of four, three, or two. These diodes may be marked as CR1, CR2, CR3 or CR4. There is no order to this. The lines of diodes are interrupted by nine through-hole wires that carry no components but are marked beneath the wires with a “6.” The far side of the board is numbered. Above this numbering, the board carries fifty-one metal pins.
The IC3600LLXA1A is drilled in two corners. It has the GE logo, the code 68A989018G1, and the board number printed on its surface.
