About the IC3600LRDD1
The IC3600LRDD1 is a GE FANUC Relay Driver board for the Mark I/Mark II series. These two series were the first of the Speedtronic steam/gas turbine management systems to be released by General Electric. Both systems were designed by GE to be adaptable and scalable, and have been used around the globe for the last several decades to run all sorts of heavy-duty turbine arrangements, from single unit remote field stations, to marine drives, for compressor drives in chemical or industrial processes, up to full power plant configurations of 400 Mw combined cycle ratings.
The IC3600LRDD1 has been drilled in two corners for mounting. It carries the GE logo and its unique board identification, plus the code 68A989191G1. One edge is has been sequenced with numbering from one to fifty-one in leaps of five.
The IC3600LRDD1 has sixteen transistors. These components are connected to the board in two parallel lines, with eight transistors in each line. Each line of transistors is marked as a single component, with one line marked entirely “Q1” and the other entirely marked “Q2.” This same type of marking occurs to the line of eight polyester vinyl capacitors on the board, which are all marked as “C1.” The board also uses two aluminum electrolytic capacitors; these are marked as “C2” and “C3.” The board has several lines of carbon composite resistors, with eight resistors in each line. Each line is marked as its own component. However, only R1, R3, R5 and R7 appear on the board. While diodes are used on the board, they are not marked as such but are numbered.
The IC3600LRDD1 is fitted with metal pins in a parallel line along on one edge. These pins facilitate the transfer of data between the Speedtronic main control panel and the board.
