About the IC3600LRLD1A
The IC3600LRLD1A is a PCB component for the Mark I/Mark II series from GE. While the Mark I and Mark II were initially released by GE in the late 1960s and early 1970s to manage their heavy-duty gas and steam turbines and have since been replaced by later Speedtronic systems like the MKIV through MKVIe, both of these systems have now been in constant use around the globe for decades, and remain viable operating systems. GE focused the original design of these systems on creating accurate performance with fast response on an adaptable system with long life. These systems achieved a running reliability of 99% for many years.
The surface of the IC3600LRLD1A has the GE logo printed on it. It also carries its board identification number and the code 006/01. A single edge has been marked with “1,” “5,” “10,” “15,” “20,” “25,” “+12,” “30,” “35,” “40,” “45,” and “51.” This numbering corresponds to fifty-one metal pins that act as the board’s communication device. When the pins are connected by wires to the Speedtronic system, they allow signals to move to and from the board.
The majority of the surface of the IC3600LRLD1A is taken up by vertically placed carbon composite resistors. All resistors are marked. Fifteen transistors are placed within the lines of CCRs. These are also marked. On the opposite side, the board carries several lines of vertically placed diodes and one horizontal polyester vinyl capacitor. Diodes are not marked as such but are numbered.
