About the IC3600LSRB1
The IC3600LSRB1 was made for the Speedtronic Mark I-II system of controls for turbines. This product is a type of printed circuit board (PCB) known as a shift register circuit board. The IC3600LSRB1 was made by General Electric (GE). Mark I-II is a system in the Mark series of turbine controls.
A shift register circuit board is a sequential logic device. Sequential logic is affected by present inputs as well as past history. Shift registers create a delay of a digital signal. Shift registers may be used to convert parallel data to serial form by replacing parallel data wires with a single high speed circuit. They can also be used to get data in and out of microprocessors. Shift registers are used to reduce the amount of wires in circuit boards.
The IC3600LSRB1 features a variety of different circuit board components including capacitors, resistors, and transistors. Many medium-sized yellow capacitors can be found all over the circuit board. One (1) large yellow capacitor is positioned in the center of the IC3600LSRB1. There are seventeen (17) yellow capacitors in total. The IC3600LSRB1 also contains several rectangular red capacitors. There are a total of eight (8) of these capacitors on the circuit board. A variety of large resistors can also be found on the IC3600LSRB1. These resistors are brown in color and banded with various colored stripes. Some of the resistors have bands which are red and grey. The other resistors have bands which are red, grey, and blue. Also seen on the IC3600LSRB1 are several small black transistors. These transistors are shaped like a half circle.
