About the IC3600SSZA1
General Electric created the IC3600SSZA1 printed circuit board (PCB) for the Mark I-II series. These were the earliest series created for the Speedtronic Mark line of turbine control equipment. The IC3600SSZA1 is what is called a speed control module.
The IC3600SSZA1 features a printed circuit board (PCB) with a large metal plate attached to its side. This metal plate features two (2) large dials. These dials are grey in color. The dials are attached to the PCB with white wires. Right next to the metal plate on the left half of the PCB, there are three (3) potentiometers. The potentiometers are greenish-blue. They are also known as variable resistors because they contain small dials which can be used to adjust the level of resistance of the device. Directly in the center of the IC3600SSZA1 is a large black capacitor. Other capacitors in different sizes surround this capacitor. Some of these capacitors are yellow. Other are blue, black, or silver. Also situated next to the large black capacitor are two (2) small round transistors which are silver. Two more of these transistors are positioned in other parts of the IC3600SSZA1. A number of resistors can be seen on the IC3600SSZA1. The resistors are brown and also have bands which come in multiple different colors like orange, red, brown, white, green, yellow and others. Two large silver capacitors can be seen at the bottom edge of the IC3600SSZA1. Several very small components called diodes are also featured on the IC3600SSZA1. These diodes are red and orange in color.
