About the IC3600TILB1A1B
The IC3600TILB1A1B is a GE FANUC component for either the Mark I or the Mark II series. These were the first two Speedtronic series from GE, which were developed to improve the reliability and efficiency of their heavy-duty gas and steam turbine systems. The MKI and MKII were designed to be highly adaptable and scalable, which means that features can be used or left dormant as needed depending on the size and complexity of the system being managed. The MKI and MKII have been considered obsolete by GE since they have been replaced by newer Speedtronic systems like the MKV and MKVIe. However, many facilities continue to use these older Speedtronic management systems.
The IC3600TILB1A1B has twelve integrated circuits on its surface. These are marked IC1 through IC12. The circuits are also marked with an “8.” Each circuit is a quad two-input gate with an operating power supply of 5.0V. Each circuit is surrounded by printed traces. Most of these traces run parallel to the sides of the board and connect to empty through-holes. The top of the board is populated with twelve transistors in two lines of six. The board has several lines of diodes and resistors, all mounted vertically. There is also a single high-voltage ceramic capacitor.
The IC3600TILB1A1B is marked with the unique board number, the GE logo, and “68A944398G1.” Numbering appears along one edge below a series of right-angled metal pins. These pins are the board’s communication device and will wire into the rest of the Speedtronic system.
