About the IC3600TPAA1A
The IC3600TPAA1A is a component for the first two of the Speedtronic steam and gas turbine management systems. Eventually known as the Mark I and Mark II, these early Speedtronic systems focused on creating systems that were long-lasting, adaptable, scalable, and as easy to use as the technology of the day allowed. Over the last forty-plus years the MKI/MKII have been used to manage all sizes of heavy-duty turbine systems, from 400 Mw power plants down to single turbine units. Now considered obsolete and technologically outdated, the MKI and MKII continue to manage many heavy-duty systems across the globe. GE no longer supports either of these systems.
The IC3600TPAA1A is numbered along one edge by tens from two to fifty. Above these numbers is a line of right-angled pins that together allow data to move from the IC3600TPAA1A board to the Speedtronic system. This board is drilled for mounting in two locations.
The IC3600TPAA1A is built with three transformers and six transistors. T1 is the designator for all transformers. All transformers connect to through-hole components marked X1, X2, H1, and H2. Q1 and Q2 mark three transistors each. The board has three capacitors marked as C1. These are rated 50μf 50V. The board has eighteen resistors placed as three sets of five (all R1-R5) and three marked R7. The three diodes on the board are marked CR1.
Shipment of the IC3600TPAA1A will use a static-reducing sleeve to protect the part during transport. If your facility retained manufacturer publications like manuals and data sheets, these should be reviewed for safety and installation procedures before unboxing your new part.
