About the IC3600TPGD1A
The IC3600TPGD1A is a component that fits into the Mark I and the Mark II series for gas and steam turbine management created and developed by GE. GE’s popular Speedtronic line was rolled out beginning with the Mark I in 1969 and the Mark II in 1973. GE wanted to create a management line that would have a marked positive effect on the efficiency and reliability of their heavy-duty turbines regardless of the use they were put to; the Speedtronic line was the result. These management systems are designed to be adaptable and scalable and useful for many types of turbine systems, from single unit pumping stations to full power stations. This may explain why, even while the MKI and MKII are now technologically obsolete and no longer receive support from GE, they continue to be used by facilities in many locations to manage many types of turbine systems.
The IC3600TPGD1A has six integrated circuits located in a single line. A seventh integrated circuit is situated next to these. All integrated circuits are quad two-input NAND gates. The board has seven capacitors. Six of these are marked as “C1” and are located directly below each of the six circuits located in the line. The seventh capacitor is a high-voltage ceramic capacitor that is located to the side of the seventh circuit.
The IC3600TPGD1A carries twelve transistors and several lines of resistors and diodes. One edge of the board has a single line of metal pins with numbering located beneath them.
