About the IC3600TPSA1
The IC3600TPSA1 is a Single Phase Power Supply. This board is a component for the Mark I or the Mark II series from GE. Both of these series, which were released in 1969 and 1973 respectively, were developed by GE as the first of their Speedtronic line for the management of heavy-duty steam and gas turbines, with a focus on creating a management system that would improve their reliability and efficiency. GE made all of their Speedtronic line adaptable and scalable, so while both are now obsolete due to the release of newer Speedtronic systems, the MKI/MKII are still used today by those who need this type of adjustable management option for their turbine system.
The IC3600TPSA1 is marked with the codes 006/03, 68A988949, and the logo from GE. One edge of the board is numbered from one to fifty-one underneath a line of metal pins. These pins function here as a communication device for the board. There are also six small black components marked TP1 through TP6.
The IC3600TPSA1 has nine small transistors and one large transistor. The large transistor is RCA bipolar transistor fitted into a heat sink. Surface wiring is used from one pole of the large transistor to a through-hole. The board uses four different kinds of transistors.
The IC3600TPSA1 has a trim potentiometer placed along one edge. These types of components are often used to calibrate circuits. Resistors and diodes are usually mounted vertically. It has several capacitors, including two small aluminum electrolytic capacitors marked 25v 20 μf, and two larger Sprague capacitors marked 34D 700μf 25 VDC D46188 +85 degrees Celsius, as well as one polyester vinyl capacitor and two ceramic capacitors.
