About the IC3600TSUD1B
The IC3600TSUD1B is a Supp/Bias card for the Mark I or the Mark II series from GE. These two series were the first steam and gas heavy-duty turbine management systems developed and released by GE in their popular Speedtronic line. The MKI was initially introduced in 1969, and the MKII followed a few years later in 1973. Both systems focused on using the most current technology available at the time to create management systems that were adaptable, scalable, easy to use, would be long-lasting, and most importantly, would make heavy-duty turbines run more efficiently and with less down-time. While the MKI/MKII have long been considered obsolete and have not been supported by GE, both systems remain in use by many facilities around the world for the management of turbine systems both large and small.
The IC3600TSUD1B is designed with a small front panel attached to its surface. This panel is silver in color and attaches to the PCB by two screw mounts. The board has a single hole drilled through the top and bottom of the panel. There are two components attached to the panel. These include a red LED light that is labeled SUPP., and a push button component that is labeled reset. Both components are connected to the surface of the PCB using surface wiring. Surface wiring also runs from one screw mount across the board to one of the fifty-one pins attached to the opposite edge in a parallel line.
The IC3600TSUD1B is populated with thirteen transistors, three integrated circuits, several capacitors of various materials, including a high voltage ceramic capacitor marked +80% -20% YSU 25V, several lines of diodes and resistors, and a line of metal pins. Most components are marked with designators and numbers.
