The IC3603A177CH6 GE component is a potted relay from General Electric. Potted relays are sealed with an external substance like a silicone rubber gel or a thermosetting plastic. This sealer provides a barrier against harsh conditions. It also makes the relay resistant to vibrations and shock.
The IC3603A177CH6 has a coil voltage rating of 125 V DC. The unit includes four feet. Each of these feet has been factory drilled along their bottom edge to allow for mounting options.
The top of the IC3603A177CH6 is designed with multiple screw connections or terminals. There are several terminals on either side of the relay. Most of these terminals have been numbered. The unit is marked with the unit’s identification number, the GE logo, and a few codes. The top of the unit also shows several relay symbols. The contact between one and two is marked as a relay coil. The contact between three and four is an NC relay contact. There are two other NC relay contacts. These are between 5 and 6, and between 7 and 8. The unit also has three NO relay contacts. These are between 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14.
