About the DS3800DBPF
The DS3800DBPF is a printed circuit board (PCB) aka a motor field board, manufactured as part of the Speedtronic Mark IV line by GE. Speedtronic Mark IV turbine control is designed around the theory of distributed control, where multiple interconnected microprocessors are purposely designed with redundancies that share control and communication of the system; when one microprocessor has an electrical issue it can be repaired without any downtime to the full system, as load is shifted to other modules while the damaged part is being serviced. The DS3800DBPF is designed as an ac input module.
The DS3800DBPF has the following specifications:
-
created as an auxiliary or daughterboard designed to be plugged into a larger printed circuit board, General Electric Control Board model # 6BA00
-
5 connector pins on the board, 3 on one short side labeled 1,2, and 3, and 2 on the opposite short side labeled 4 and 5.
-
4 drill-out holes on the panel, one in each corner of the board.
-
1 communications instrument relay (58614) located parallel to one of the long sides of the board. This relay is labeled on its side HFW 1K 48 218A. It is labeled K1 on the board. There is a circuit map on the top of this relay.
-
1 CR capacitor
AxControl highly recommends following the recommendations printed within an original data sheet and/or manual from the original manufacturer for installation. Please follow all safety procedures and installation guidelines recommended. Only a qualified electrician should service, install or maintain the DS3800DBPF PCB or any other Speedtronic component.
