About the DS3800DFCD
The GE Regulator Board DS3800DFCD features 17 single-pin connectors and 3 potentiometers for adjusting the current. The GE Regulator Board DS3800DFCD also is populated with 4 jumpers and multiple test points. The IDs of the potentiometers are LOGIC, VOLT, and AMMETER. You can adjust the potentiometers from 0 to 100 using the dials. Only a qualified individual should adjust the potentiometers to avoid damage to the board. The servicer or installer must have a calibrated tester on hand when the adjustments are made. It is best practice to adjust 1 potentiometer at a time. Once the correct adjustment is made for 1 potentiometer, move on to another potentiometer. Keep in mind that, the potentiometers enable you to adjust the amperage, voltage, and other aspects of the circuits.
To use the tester to adjust the potentiometers, touch the probes to the test points on the board and at the same time turn the dial of one potentiometer. It is best practice to record the setting and keep it with the other important information about the board. When you install a replacement board, before you install it, set the potentiometer to the same settings as the defective board. To be sure that the setting is right, use a tester to verify that the circuit readings are the same.
The jumpers on the board enable the installer or servicer to configure the board. The IDs of the jumpers are suffixed with the letter J and prefixed with the letter F. The middle position is reserved for a numeric value. For example, J1F, J6F, and J7F.
