About the DS3800DLCA
The DS3800DLCA is a printed circuit board manufactured by GE designed to work with their Speedtronic Mark IV gas and steam turbine control system. GE developed the Mark IV with intentional redundancies between the individual microprocessors. In that way control and communications can shift in the case of a failure, and the Mark IV system will continue to run without shutdown while the individual electronic board is diagnosed and repaired. The DS3800DLCA has been designed specifically as a load comm converter card.
The DS3800DLCA has the following specifications:
-
factory drilled for one mounting option. The board is drilled in all four corners.
-
one test point ring. Marked TP12, the ring is located on the edge of the board near the potentiometer.
-
one potentiometer. This component is marked 3069P-1-203. 20A
-
one ribbon cable connector, located on the long edge of the board.
-
six Comm connections. These are located parallel to the potentiometer and run between the labels "Open Com" and "Cov." Each one is labeled BJ1 through BJ6.
-
The board has three kinds of resistors.
-
The board has five capacitors marked 70801
The DS3800DLCA is marked on its edge with 6BA03, DLCA, and 6DA02. The board is also marked with a triangular logic buffer symbol.
Technical support was originally provided for the DS3800DLCA by GE. We at AXControl suggest referencing the datasheet and/or the manual published by the original manufacturer before installation. Please follow all installation and safety procedures. Only qualified electrical personnel should install, maintain, or service this or other Mark IV equipment.
