About the DS3800DMPC
DS3800DMPC GE Mark IV Microprocessor board
The DS3800DMPC is a printed circuit board manufactured by GE for use within the Mark IV gas and steam turbine management system. The MKIV offered triple modular redundant (TMR) architecture with fault-tolerant control, the first of the Speedtronic systems with this type of two-out-of-three voting on critical controls and protection parameters. MKIV boards like the DS3800DMPC can be found in the AX Control inventory as tested, reconditioned units. We also sell liquidated (never used, like new) surplus stock.
The DS3800DMPC is a microprocessor board. It is a smaller board with only a few components on its surface. The board is drilled at least once in each corner and is marked on its surface with the GE logo and with codes like C-ESS. The top surface of the board is cut away to reveal the bottom layer at each corner.
Board components on the DS3800DMPC include two resistor network arrays, metal film resistors, capacitors made from polyester vinyl material and from ceramic material, jumper switches, and thirteen integrated circuits, including oscillating chips. The board has two connectors. One of these is a right-angled cable connector on the top edge marked 218A4637P5, and the other is a ribbon connector on the bottom edge. This is labeled 278A4702P5A. This connector is typically used to communicate with a DS3800HMPF board when the DS3800DMPC is installed as an auxiliary above that board.
