About the DS3800DSFC
The GE Circuit Board DS3800DSFC is 2 inches in height and 3 inches in length. The board features 1 trimmer resistor, multiple capacitors, and 5 jumpers. The GE Circuit Board DS3800DSFC also is populated with 2 single-pin connectors and 10 resistors embedded on the board.
The single trimmer resistor enables a qualified individual to adjust the components to the exact needs of the drive. The trimmer resistor is sometimes referred to as a trimpot because the trimmer resistor is a potentiometer. The small screw is used to adjust the component. Use a test device that is calibrated for the task and as you turn the screw, refer to the tester until you adjust the trimmer to the requirements of the drive. Once it is set, you can use a clear glue or other agent to fix the screw in place. Use a glue or other substance that can be easily removed, in case further adjustments are required.
The capacitors also require special consideration. The capacitors serve the purpose of storing high voltage current and releasing it as required. This cycle is repeated during normal processing without any safety concerns to the operator or the drive. However, if you remove the board, there is the potential that the capacitors have stored high-voltage current. If that is the case, the technician can be harmed by an electric shock if the board is touched. All that is required is to wait 30 seconds while the high-voltage current exits the capacitors. This happens without intervention by the technician.
