About the DS3800DVRC1A1A
The DS3800DVRC1A1A from General Electric (GE) is a regulator circuit for the Speedtronic Mark IV line. This board is used as a part of a system to control and regulate turbines.
The DS3800DVRC1A1A features around seventy-five separate resistors. Each is uniquely marked with different colored bands to indicate the number of ohms each resistor can handle. There is a total of twelve (12) power resistors all varying in size. There are two rather large ones, four medium-sized ones, and four small ones. There is a small black covered terminal port with a ribbon harness on one side to connect to other equipment or boards. There are five EEPROMs which have one job and can't be re-programmed. There are sixteen grey spots on the bottom edge of the circuit board to allow additional components to be attached to vary the function of the circuit. On the right edge is also three (3) large knobs. Each knob is a Potentiometer. Every Potentiometer can be moved and adjusted to allow for different amounts of electric current to flow across the board at one time. Each knob is black in color with a white arrow in the center and marked zero to one-hundred. In between the zero and one-hundred are hash marks in white at ten-degree intervals. Each piece is clearly labeled with its corresponding alphanumeric marking and outlined in white.
