About the DS3800DXRA
The GE Generator Regulator Board DS3800DXRA features 1 20-pin connector and 10 jumpers. The GE Generator Regulator Board DS3800DXRA also is populated with multiple capacitors and 5 indicator LEDs. The board is also populated with a toggle switch for resetting the board.
The LEDs indicate activity is taking place in different circuits on the board. They provide a quick and easy way for the drive operator to monitor the condition of the board. If the LEDs are flashing or staying lit for a short period of time, the operator will know that the board is in a good condition. If the LEDs fail to light, it provides an indication that the board is experiencing a problem If that is the case, several means of troubleshooting and resolving issues are available.
If the LEDs have stopped flashing and you suspect a problem, a qualified operator can switch the reset toggle switch to restart the board. The reset button doesn’t remove current from the board. Instead, it forces the board to restart processing. Often, if signals to the board are interfered with by high-voltage electricity, the restart process enables the signals to restart and any problems are resolved. However, only a qualified operator or servicer should use the restart switch. This is because using the switch requires the individual to reach into the drive while high-voltage current is present in the board. This exposes the servicer or operator to hazardous conditions that can lead to electric shock or burn.
