About the DS3800EEPB
The DS3800EEPB is a PCB fabricated by GE for the Mark IV series. The MKIV is one of GE’s gas and steam turbine management systems and was their third commercially available Speedtronic system. The MKIV has integrated microprocessors that work together around the clock to monitor and protect the turbine from such things as vibration, over speed, high pressure, and loss of flame.
The DS3800EEPB functions as a generator regulator board. It is marked on one edge, A through J. Factory-drilled mounting holes have been made in each corner. Nylon extractor clips are installed. Extractors are especially helpful to technicians when space is limited, as they add a handle to manipulate the board by, as well as adding a lever point to push the board free from its location in the frame.
The DS3800EEPB is populated with one toggle switch, a red LED, 37 jumper switches, one transistor, and one PCB mating connector (218A4553-1 A/mp.) It has five resistor network arrays. The board has forty circuits, including octal buffers and line drivers, two-input positive OR gates, and CMOS static RAM.
The most notable attribute of the DS3800EEPB is its four small auxiliary boards. These boards are each connected to the motherboard using two lines of board-to-board pins, which lock each board into place. Each auxiliary correlates to eight jumper switches which run parallel to each auxiliary board.
Our warehouse at AX Control will ship this part to you protected by a static-reducing covering. We recommend reviewing any OEM publications in your possession containing safety data or installation instructions before beginning installation. GE was responsible for all technical support for the DS3800EEPB. This includes end-user publications like manuals and data sheets.
