About the DS3800HACA
The GE Circuit Board DS3800HACA features multiple pins that are connected through fine wires wrapped around the pins. The GE Circuit Board DS3800HACA also is populated with a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive.
The GE Circuit Board DS3800HACA is inserted into the board and it slides into a board rack that is designed to allow easy and quick installation and removal of the board. The end of the board is fitted with a module connector that allows for connection to a matching connector in the interior of the drive. To hold the board in position, retention levers are available to ensure a secure connection.
However, to ensure proper operation of the board and to extend the life of the components and boards in the drive, it is important to make sure excessive heat doesn’t build up in the drive interior. That is only possible when you plan the installation carefully. The drive is often installed in rooms with many other drives and other equipment close by. When you install the drive, select a location that is free of dust, dirt, harsh chemicals, and high heat and humidity. The drive is installed on a wall with bolts that support the weight of the drive. Select a location that will allow enough space around all sides of the drive when it is installed. Heat can come through the wall from devices on the other side of the wall. Make sure the wall stays cool and if that is not possible, you might remove some equipment from near the wall in the adjoining room.
