The GE Regulator Board DS3800HAIC1C1B features a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive. The GE Regulator Board DS3800HAIC1C1B also is populated with 9 jumpers, and 2 trimmer resistor components. The board also has 1 20-pin connector and several test points.

The GE Regulator Board DS3800HAIC1C1B is designed to provide defect free operation in the drive. However, the drive can experience trip conditions that cause the drive to shutdown automatically. The trip conditions protect the drive from damage. One trip condition is caused by an overload condition. That is, the motor and moving parts are performing above the designed workload. In that case, the drive will shutdown automatically to protect the drive from damage. Before you restart the drive, you might troubleshoot the cause of the shutdown. Either reduce the workload or install another drive that can perform the operation within the designed work parameters.  

Another trip condition is caused by current overload. This can result in damage to the components and can also lead to fire or injury if the condition is allowed to continue. It is best practice to ascertain the cause of the trip condition before you restart the drive and you might consult with an electrician or an engineer, if necessary. Another trip condition is caused by the interior temperature of the drive rising above a predetermined threshold. Check that the air vents on the bottom and top of the drive are clear and that they are not blocked by cables.
