About the DS3800HDDL1A1A
The DS3800HDDL1A1A is a human-machine interface also known as an HMI. The DS3800HDDL1A1A is part of the Speedtronic Mark IV Turbine Series for General Electric (GE). The DS3800HDDL1A1A has a metal faceplate with five LED lights. One is red which indicates a Fault. The other four are amber colored. They indicate when the drive is okay, the data link is active, when the machine is ready to run and when the system needs to be reset. Next to the amber light that indicates the machine needs to be reset is a black RESET button. There is also a series of forty lights. Twenty lights on the left are red and the twenty on the right are amber colored. Each light indicates a different issue with the machine. The different sections are Status, Reference Selection, Drive Status, Alarms, Converter Faults, and Motor Faults. The DS3800HDDL1A1A is controlled by a component called an EPROM. This component stores all the programming required for the DS3800HDDL1A1A. If more program storage is required an addition EPROM may be added. There is a small section labeled “SPARE” with metal tabs around it. In order for the energy to flow the DS3800HDDL1A1A has four capacitors two are brownish-yellow and the others are a metallic silver. There are fifteen sky blue diodes and around fifty different resistors. The resistors have a color code to show just how much energy they are able to withstand. The DS3800HDDL1A1A is an HMI so it has a large port to connect with the entire machine along with screw ports and clips for a secure installation.
