About the DS3800HDRA1B1B
The GE Line Driver/Receiver Board DS3800HDRA1B1B features a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive. The GE Line Driver/Receiver Board DS3800HDRA1B1B also is populated with 2 jumpers, and multiple capacitors. The board also has 2 40-pin connectors accessible from the front of the board.
Another component on the board is a transistor to transistor logic (TTL) device. It serves as the interface logic between integrated circuits.
The board is populated with a modular connector on 1 end. The modular connector is designed to connect with another modular connector at the back of the board rack in the drive. The 2 modular connectors meet and provide connections for many signals and power supply connections. When the board is removed from the drive, the connections are discontinued without intervention by the servicer. That is, simply removing the board ends the signal and power connections. The modular connections facilitate command signals that are received by the board for processing. The modular connections also provide the means for the board to send command signals to other boards in the drive. During normal processing the board transmits and receives signals multiple times to control the motor and the moving parts.
On the opposite side of the board are retention levers. They fit into slots on the board rack and lock the board in the rack. They keep the board from moving to protect the components. They also maintain the connection between the modular connectors.
