Product Description

The DS3800HIOB is a printed circuit board from GE. The DS3800HIOB was designed as part of the Speedtronic Mark IV series as an Input/Output card.

The DS3800HIOB has the following specifications:

• has three LEDs located in the upper left corner. The first is amber, labeled "Imok", the other two are red, labeled "ADR" and "LACT."

• is marked from A to J on its top edge

• is marked from 10 to 80 in increments of ten on its left edge

• has an Intel LD8748 Eprom located at U1

• has a total of eight jumper switches. Seven of these are located together in a vertical line with the option of sitting at 0 or 1. The other jumper is placed below the second integrated circuit, and sits at "in" or "out."

• has seven test points. Six of these are located along the left edge of the board and are labeled, top to bottom, Reset, Data, Dsync, Sync, Com, and Test. The seventh TP is located on the other side of the board and is labeled "101." It is worth noting this TP is marked "TP6," while the "test" TP is marked "TP7."

• has a SN74LS244N Dip Integrated circuit located at U12

• has multiple integrated circuits, some which have been specified.

• the circuit located at U5 is an oscillating chip set at 18.4320 mHz

• has multiple capacitors, including a 50 v 5 μf capacitor toward the middle right of the board.

• is designed with many ceramic-covered metal film resistors of differing values.

• has two lines of 8 sets of PTH (plated through-holes) located near the bottom edge of the board.

• has a multipin male connector located at the bottom edge of the board. This is marked 87936-2 218A4637P3

• the top layer of the board is chamfered at the corners, while the bottom layer is drilled at all four corners.

• has one transistor

• has one switch

• is marked JB/JC/JD on its right edge. This corresponds to a 90 degree PCB connector (male) running along most of that edge of the board.
