About the DS3800HLCA1D1E
General Electric manufactured the DS3800HLCA1D1E printed circuit board to fit into their Speedtronic Mark IV gas and steam control system. The Mark IV can be used for monitoring all turbine, control and auxiliary functions can sequence the turbine fuel for startup, and can warn against running the system under adverse operating conditions. It also can be used for air and fuel emissions control.
The DS3800HLCA1D1E has been designed as an I/O Control board. It is marked for easy alignment on its top edge with letters (A-J) and alignment markings. It has been factory-drilled in all corners.
The DS3800HLCA1D1E includes two toggle switches on its right side. This includes a test switch (marked A4627P5, 0.4 VA max) and a reset switch (marked A4627PII, 0.4VA max.) It has one red LED test light. There are three jumper switches attached to the board to allow the user some customization options.
The DS3800HLCA1D1E has over 35 integrated circuits (programmable interfaces, DIPs, EPROMs, and oscillators,) as well as four potentiometers and three resistor networks to allow for adjustable voltage. There are twelve TP test points attached to the card in the lower right corner of the board.
The DS3800HLCA1D1E has one large AMD connector (218A4553-1.) This populates most of one edge of the board. Small capacitors have been placed at intervals. Resistors are typically ceramic metal film.
Technical support for Mark IV components including the DS3800HLCA1D1E was originally provided by GE. General Electric manuals and data sheets will help guide the user with proper installation.
