About the DS3800HLIC
The DS3800HLIC is part of General Electric’s Mark IV turbine control system. This is one of the later iterations of the company’s Speedtronic system for the control of gas and steam turbines. Speedtronic systems have been available from GE since the late 1960s with the addition of the Mark I; however, the Mark IV was the first of these systems to offer distributed control where three controller boards voted on data before it was used for control or display purposes. This TMR arrangement is a central part of the Mark IV system.
The DS3800HLIC functions as an Isolation Logic board. It is one of several isolation logic boards available through AX Control stock, so please be sure to order the correct version for your application. The DS3800HLIC is a rectangular board that weighs approximately 0.67 pounds before the addition of any sort of shipping materials.
The DS3800HLIC includes multiple board stiffeners located on the board’s surface. These run across both the long and short dimensions of the board. The DS3800HLIC is fitted with a backplane connector on its rear short edge and has two extractor clips mounted into factory drilled holes on its leading one. Between these, the board has a line of 9 LED indicators, eight of which are red and one that is yellow. This edge also includes a single switch component.
