About the DS3800HLIC1A1B
The DS3800HLIC1A1B is a board component designed to fit into GE’s Mark IV turbine system. This system is generally used for gas and steam industrial control. While it is the fourth of the Speedtronic systems for this use from General Electric, it is the first to offer distributed control. Distributed control within the Mark IV uses three controller boards that vote on all input data before it is used for display or control purposes.
The DS3800HLIC1A1B is used within the Mark IV system as an Isolation Logic card. The board weighs less than one pound (0.67 pounds before shipping materials are added) and includes factory drilled mounting holes. The board has been stiffened in both directions through the use of board stiffeners. It includes multiple connectors, a single switch component, transistors, many resistors, and multiple integrated circuits. The leading edge of the board includes a panel of LED indicators. This line of LEDs is primarily red but also includes a single yellow LED.
The DS3800HLIC1A1B has two extractor clips mounted into the front two corners. These clips help with the insertion of the board and also give a fulcrum point to pull the board from its location when it needs to be removed from a rack system.
