The GE Log Dr Bus Interface Board DS3800HLOA1D1B is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Log Dr Bus Interface Board DS3800HLOA1D1B also is populated with 16 red indicator LEDs and 1 amber indicator LED which are visible from the front of the board. The board also features 8 jumpers and 1 erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) module.

The GE Log Dr Bus Interface Board DS3800HLOA1D1B comes packaged in a sealed static-protective bag. This is because the board can be damaged by static build up. When you carry the board, static accumulates on your person from the air surrounding you and from the friction of walking. The static builds up on the board if it has no grounded surface to drain to. If you wear a properly installed wrist strap, the static will exit the board and your person. One end of the strap is connected a grounded surface. This might be a metal chair leg, a metal shelf, or a metal desk. This serves as a ground which the static electricity is attracted to. The static drains to the grounded surface and leaves the board unharmed.

If the wrist strap is connected to a wooden or plastic object, the static will not exit your person and instead will accumulate on the board. Make sure the wrist strap is properly connected to a grounded surface on one end and firmly wrapped to your wrist on the other end.
