About the DS3800HLSC

The DS3800HLSC is a Mark IV board component that is typically used as a data link board.  This board has been discontinued by General Electric and is no longer available for purchase through the original equipment manufacturer.  However, we at AX Control usually have the board available for sale and ready to ship from our inventory to your location.   As part of the Mark IV Speedtronic system, this board is part of a more complex turbine control system as compared to earlier Speedtronic control systems available from GE.  The Mark IV uses three redundant systems together to vote on all turbine applications, which allows individual boards within any of these systems to be replaced without the need to shut down the entire system. 

The DS3800HLSC weighs approximately 1.0 pounds.  It has been stiffened along its longer dimension by three board stiffeners, one located at each edge and one located in the center of the board.  The leading short board edge has been fitted with two extractor clips while the rear edge has a single backplane connector.  The front edge also includes a small right-angled connector that will accept a pinned cable connector, along with several LED indicators in red and yellow.   Other board components include resistors, diodes, capacitors, and many integrated circuits.
