About the DS3800HLSD
The DS3800HLSD printed circuit board is a data link slave card designed by General Electric for the company’s Mark IV turbine control system. The Mark IV was the first of the Speedtronic systems to offer distributed (TMR) control using three duplicate systems for voted control. While Mark IV components are now in legacy status and are not available from the OEM, they can be sourced from us here at AX Control. Most of our in-stock products will ship the same day your order is placed if we receive your completed purchase order before 3 pm.
The DS3800HLSD is a small rectangular circuit card that has been factory drilled at each corner. The board has been fitted with extractor clips at each leading corner and with board stiffeners along the long dimension of the board. Stiffeners are placed in the center and along the board edges. The rear edge of the board has a backplane connector while the front edge has a smaller right-angled pin connector to allow the unit to communicate with other board components.
The board itself is populated by several lines of integrated circuits, as well as capacitors, resistors, and diodes. Six jumper components located near the bottom edge allow the board to be customized by the end-user. The board is also marked by several codes. Most components are marked with reference designations to allow the user to easily identify each one.
General Electric manuals and user guides will provide you with additional information like installation and maintenance procedures.
